Riders are reporting long queues and confusion for buses at the SkyTrain stations affected by this morning’s Surrey train service shutdown.

Train service is not running in Surrey due to a track issue at Gateway Station. The disruption was first reported at 7:15 a.m. during the start of the morning rush hour.

According to Transit Police, riders should expect “significant SkyTrain delays” and changes in bus service, particularly Surrey’s 96 B-Line buses as it has been diverted to assist with the bus bridge between SkyTrain stations.

Millennium Line service is not affected by the disruption.

UPDATE at 8:50 a.m. – The SkyTrain track issue has been resolved, but riders should still expect some delays until the system returns to its normal train schedule.
