SkyTrain delays due to switch problem in downtown Vancouver

The Expo Line is currently experiencing major delays due to a switch problem at Stadium-Chinatown Station in downtown Vancouver.

As a result, passengers will need to switch trains at Main Street-Science World Station. Additionally, Millennium Line trains are only operating from VCC-Clark to Columbia stations.

TransLink says customers at Main Street-Science World Station should allow up to 15 minute waits for the shuttle train running to and from Waterfront Station.

The service disruptions began at approximately 7:30 a.m. There is no indication when regular service will resume.

• UPDATE at 9:45 a.m. – A shuttle bus is running between the affected stations: Waterfront, Burrard, Granville, Stadium-Chinatown, and Main Street-Science World.
• UPDATE at 12:01 p.m. – Regular service has resumed.
