Police arrest BC man accused of skinny-dipping in Toronto aquarium shark tank

The BC man wanted for allegedly stripping naked and jumping into the Ripley’s Aquarium shark tank in Toronto has been arrested.

On Friday, October 12, video surfaced of a nude man jumping into the shark tank at the major tourist attraction. He swam around for several minutes until climbing out and leaving the property.

The suspect was arrested in Thunder Bay by Ontario Provincial Police, Constable Caroline de Kloet of the Toronto Police Department told Daily Hive.

“We are currently working with them to have him returned to Toronto,” she said.

The man was identified by authorities as 37-year-old David Weaver of Nelson, BC.

Police were also seeking Nelson in connection with an assault that took place earlier that same day at a Medieval Times restaurant.

Weaver was wanted for assault causing bodily harm and mischief interfering with property.
