You can still go skiing or snowboarding in BC this May long weekend
Yes, the days are getting longer, the temperatures are warming up, and summer is certainly on its way in BC now.
But for those of you who just aren’t ready to say goodbye to the ski season (or are simply in complete denial), you still have the opportunity to make some turns this Victoria Day long weekend.
The opportunity comes courtesy of Whistler Blackcomb, where lifts will keep spinning for snow seekers until May 27.

Lifts in operation include the Whistler Village Gondola access, as well as the Harmony 6 Express (open weekends only) which turn from 10 am to 4 pm.
It’s important to note, however, that only lifts on Whistler, remain open, as Blackcomb’s have now closed for the season.
Up-to-date snow conditions, lift status, and run openings are all available on the resort’s website.
The resort’s final day of winter operation is May 27.
And hey, if you’re having trouble trying to decide whether to hop on the skis or the bike this weekend, why not do both?
The Whistler Mountain Bike Park opens this Friday, May 17, for the 2019 season.
Safe to say, there’s no shortage of options when it comes to going up and getting down.
