Surrey RCMP have released a sketch of the man suspected of assaulting a teenage girl as she was walking in Alderwood Park earlier in December.

The man is alleged to have grabbed the 16-year-old girl at 7:35 am in the 1700 block of Lilac Drive on Thursday, December 21.

The girl managed to escape to a nearby school. Police were immediately dispatched to the area, but no suspect was found.

Now, Surrey RCMP’s Special Victim Unit is leading this investigation with assistance from the Youth Unit.

The suspect is described as a clean cut looking Caucasian male, 30 to 40 years old, with a fair complexion and short black hair, and wearing a black hoody and gloves.

“If you recognize this person or have any information pertaining to this incident, investigators want to hear from you right away,” said Cpl. Scotty Schumann in a release.

Police are aware of a similar incident in the area that occurred in September of this year. Officers are comparing these two incidents to determine if there are any connections.
