Many of you may be familiar with the online-only TV comedy series “Single and Dating in Vancouver” that follows the dating adventures of four single Vancouverites.
Troy, the newbie to the Vancouver dating scene from East Canada has a little help (or sometimes not so helpful) friends Michael the West Coast lifestyle guru/ self-proclaimed ladies man, Sheri (played by Sheri Rabold who just got a Leo nomination for Best Performance By A Female In A Webseries for her role) the matriarch maven, and Chad the real estate agent/single dad.
The 22 to 28 minute series play out with subtle to tastefully raunchy humour that exposes our own insecurities and irrational behaviour in comedic and relatable ways. Check out our interview with producer Troy Mundle and co-producer Jane Avery to learn more about the story behind “Single and dating in Vancouver.”
The “Single and Dating in Vancouver” team now need your help to complete the series with three more episodes to come. As a “labour of love,” they will need funds to accomplish this, and you can help by donating to their Kickstarter page. If you take a look at their kickstarter campaign, you will see that there are some amazing perks to go along with your donation. Your opportunity to contribute will last till May 17, 2014. Their goal is $10,000 and every little bit helps.
Some of the perks include your name in the credits as a kickstarter backer, advanced access to episodes before release, access to blooper reels (which I can imagine are incredibly funny and entertaining), an autographed script, and even a part as an extra in one of the upcoming episodes. If you’re not convinced, you’ve probably haven’t seen the show yet, which you absolutely must. Below is the pilot episode for season 1
