Simultaneous Canada Day 2013 fireworks caught on camera

Here in Vancouver, we’re lucky to have the country’s largest Canada Day celebrations outside of Parliament Hill in Ottawa. These celebrations include a massive fireworks display launched simultaneously from two barges at different locations in Burrard Inlet.

These moments below were captured and shared with us by Peter So. In the photos: on the left in the background is Downtown Vancouver’s Coal Harbour barge, and on the right in the foreground is the West Vancouver’s Ambleside Park barge. Both barges launch the same fireworks displays simultaneously and together make up the multi-community Canada Day Burrard Inlet Fireworks show.

To date, these are the first [quality] photos we’ve seen that have captured both of Burrard Inlet’s annual Canada Day fireworks displays.
