Update: at Richmond-Brighouse Station, first responders attended to a male who injured himself and was taken to hospital. He made no contact with trains and no other person contributed to his injuries.

Earlier:

There are currently service disruptions on the SkyTrain Canada Line’s southernmost terminus due to a major police and medical incident at Richmond-Brighouse Station.

Few details are available at the moment, except that early reports indicate a passenger was hit by a train after falling onto the tracks. Police and paramedics are currently at the scene.

Canada Line trains are currently terminating and reversing at Lansdowne Station along the Richmond span of the system. A bus bridge is operating between Lansdowne at Richmond-Brighouse Stations.

Another medical emergency at Oakridge-41st Avenue Station also occurred at approximately the same time as the Richmond incident, but it has been resolved and cleared according to reports. Both emergencies have caused major system wide delays this evening.

Commuters traveling to/within Richmond are advised to avoid the Canada Line tonight until further notice.
