Silver to join Burnaby’s Emerging ‘Great Street’ Neighbourhood

Dec 19 2017, 1:28 pm

The lively new centre of Metro Vancouver will be the “great street” currently under construction across from Metrotown and playing a starring role in the transformation is Silver, a 38-storey tower

Part one of the transformation has already begun with MetroPlace, currently under construction.

Part two centres around Silver – Intracorp’s newest 38-storey tower of modern condos in Burnaby. Silver will be a sleek, high tech residential building, offering open concept floorplans with large balconies to capture the panoramic city, mountain and ocean views.

“Intracorp and the City of Burnaby have a shared vision to transform the Beresford Street area into a vibrant new great street complete with extra-wide tree-lined sidewalks, outdoor seating, street-front cafés and retail shops,” says Don Forsgren, president of Intracorp.

With MetroPlace and Silver as anchors, the great street and surrounding area will bustle with shops, services and plazas. Art pieces will create an art walk, and residents will be steps to existing and future public spaces like the Burnaby Public Library and revitalized transit station.

Silver’s team includes Richard Henry Architect, working with award-winning NSDA Architects, along with BBA Design Consultants, who have together created a sleek and contemporary design. Silver’s 284 new concrete homes include 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, 2 bedroom plus den and 2 storey townhomes priced from the mid-$250,000s.
