Sign up for the annual Jim Green Memorial basketball tournament

The Third Annual Jim Green Memorial Basketball Tourney hits the courts at the Woodward’s Building on Saturday August 29. Get a team together, show off your dribbling skills (or not), or just come chill with us and support for a great cause.

The Jim Green Memorial is an indoor / outdoor 3 on 3 basketball tournament that raises money for members of the Downtown East Side. The yearly tournament takes place in the Woodward’s atrium and courtyard each summer, with food, drinks and music provided by Blueprint and their partner sponsors.

This year the tournament proudly welcomes new sponsors including us, DIPT, Livestock, VANCITY ORIGINALS and host Flipout (Virgin 94.5)

The Jim Green Foundation raises money for members of the Downtown East Side (DTES). Jim Green was an amazing man who was everything from a longshoreman, taxicab driver, community activist, non-profit housing developing to municipal politician, university instructor and regular at The Charles Bar. This event pays respects to such a great man, and this tournament helps to keep his generosity alive.
