Speeding shuttle pulls reckless manoeuvre on Sea to Sky Highway (VIDEO)

A dangerous driver has been caught on dashcam footage forcing another motorist off of the road on a snowy stretch of the Sea to Sky Highway.

The footage was captured by a local resident on his way to Whistler on Sunday. The video, which was posted to Facebook where it has had more than 23,000 views, shows what appears to be a shuttle bus pulling a trailer crossing a solid yellow centreline into oncoming traffic before forcing the motorist off of the road.

“First encounter with buddy was when I overtook him legally and safely when I found a very short bare patch of left lane just past the start on the Sea to Sky,” Ken Au-Yeung explains in his Facebook post.”

“He had to have hauled ass to catch up when I slowed through Lion’s Bay but we both had to merge after. I did nothing out of the ordinary other than changing lanes in front of him just as he did. We both passed traffic in the left lane in the next passing zone, but I got way further ahead than he did. Two lanes turned into one again, and that’s where this video starts.”

Ken has since contacted Squamish RCMP who are investigating the incident.
