Shooting at Nathan Phillips Square during Raptors celebrations
UPDATE: 2 people were shot during the Raptors’ celebration at Nathan Phillips Square
There has been a shooting in the midst of the Raptors NBA championship celebrations at Nathan Phillips Square in downtown Toronto.
Police report that a woman was shot, and people were running from the area.

Raptors’ announcer Matt Devlin interrupted Larry Tanenbaum, chairman of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, during his speech to inform the crowd of an “emergency close to here.”
Speeches have since resumed.
