An immersive, interactive Halloween walk is coming to Vancouver this month.

Shattered at The Beaumont: A Wicked Walkthrough Experience” takes place at The Beaumont from October 8 to 31, 2020.

The event is described as a “hair-raising, Halloween-themed, physically distanced walkthrough.”

In order to create the experience, The Beaumont partnered with Go2 Productions, Innovation Lighting, and dozens of Vancouver-based artists.

“Composed of thousands of lights, lasers and soundscapes the walk-through exhibit features cutting-edge digital illusions and timeless stage tricks that will bring out the digital ghosts, goblins and assorted creatures-of-the-night now haunting The Beaumont,” reads a release from organizers.

The installation takes place over 10,000 square feet of labyrinths, hallways, stairways, studios, and courtyard.

Tickets cost $15 for children and $20 for adults. Reserved entry times are available between 6 and 10 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, as well as 4 and 10 pm from Friday to Sunday. The attraction is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

For the safety of participants and staff, the event will also include stringent safety protocols such as mandatory masks and hygiene stations. Guests may only enter in groups of up to six and must follow a timed routine for the walk.

Organizers add that due to the many staircases at The Beaumont, the event isn’t suitable for those with moderate to severe mobility issues or those with strollers.
