Curing cancer one step at a time at the SFU Relay for Life 2016

Dec 19 2017, 6:31 pm

At the SFU Relay for Life 2016, you can help progress the fight against cancer one step at a time.

The Relay for Life is an annual event taking place in hundreds of communities across Canada. Teams of 10 to 15 people walk, jog, or run around the track for five hours straight, raising funds in support of cancer research and outreach programs through the Canadian Cancer Society.

In 2014 the Relay for Life was responsible for raising over $4 million in funds, which goes to the creation of programs to support millions of Canadians currently fighting cancer, and organizations working to find a cure. This year the SFU Relay for Life 2016 has a fundraising goal of $22,000.

If you would like to register your team, please visit the Canadian Cancer Society’s event page.
