Have you ever wondered whether an MBA is right for you? If so, you’re probably curious about what you would be getting yourself in for. Not knowing what to expect as an MBA student and the thought of studying for the GMAT can be daunting prospects.
Are you overwhelmed by all the different requirements in a business school application? The Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University is holding a special event to make the application process that little bit easier, as well as demonstrate just what it means to be a Beedie MBA.
SFU MBA 101 will be held on Saturday February 28 at SFU’s Segal Graduate School of Business in downtown Vancouver. The full-day event will feature an all-star cast assembled especially to answer any questions about the Beedie Full-time, Part-time, and Management of Technology MBA programs.
Attendees will have the GMAT process demystified by experienced professionals, garner career advice from the School’s Careers Management Centre, and be given a guided tour of the spectacular Segal Graduate School. They’ll also have the opportunity to network with Beedie alumni, faculty, and industry professionals from a wide range of sectors.
One of the highlights of the day will be a sample lecture delivered by Beedie Associate Dean Ian McCarthy, ranked one of the Top 50 most influential academics on Twitter for the past two years.
Professor McCarthy will present a mini case about successful innovators and entrepreneurs to demonstrate how to develop low cost and responsive methods for testing opportunities. The lecture is typical of Beedie’s educational philosophy; one that emphasizes real-world examples and experiential learning to ensure graduates hit the ground running.
Don’t miss this opportunity to find out everything you ever wanted to know about the SFU MBA.
