Sexual assault: Woman wakes up to find man in bedroom in East Vancouver

Vancouver Police are investigating a bizarre sexual assault incident at a Eastside home during the early morning hours of Saturday.

According to a release, the woman woke up just before 4 am and found a man standing in her bedroom. There was a struggle between the woman and the suspect, who later fled the home.

Despite the thorough efforts of a police search in the neighbourhood involving the use of a police dog, the suspect was not located. He has been described by police as Caucasian, 6′ tall, and possibly in his 20s. At the time of the incident, he was wearing dark clothing.

Police have deemed the incident as a sexual assault after determining the incident was sexually motivated.
