Sexual assault suspect groped woman at Surrey bus stop: RCMP

Police in Surrey are asking for the public’s help after an alleged sexual assault that occurred over the summer.

The Surrey RMCP say that the incident occurred on the morning of July 14,

A woman was sitting at a bus stop at 144 Street and 78 Avenue. Police say that “an unknown man sat down beside her and groped her.”

When the woman confronted the man, he reportedly fled on a bicycle. Police say that the woman was physically uninjured and reported the incident to them.

RCMP managed to obtain a photograph and a composite sketch but say that “other avenues of investigation have been unsuccessful.”

Police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as a 25-year-old South Asian male with a round face and no facial hair. He was wearing black jeans, a black wind breaker, navy blue socks, and a black helmet at the time of the incident.

He was riding a white bicycle with neon tape at the base of the seat.
