Transit Police has arrested an infamous sex offender at SkyTrain’s New Westminster Station for allegations that he stared at a young group of girls and looked down their shirts.

According to Global BC, a passenger on the train heading to Sapperton Station approached Transit Police on Sunday, April 13 at 6:30 p.m. Along with the claims of peering down their shirts, the individual reported the man made attempts to engage a conversation with the young girls and even showed them a stuffed teddy bear – which had been sticking out of his pants pocket.

Convicted sex offender James William Conway was later arrested by Transit Police. He has a high risk of re-offending and now faces two new counts of breach of recognizance.

Conway is a 39-year-old caucasian male, 6’4″ tall, 300 lbs, and has brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of the incident, he was wearing Surrey Fire Department branded gear including a golf shirt and ball cap.

Any other individuals who may have seen Conway on SkyTrain last Sunday should contact Transit Police at 604-515-8300 or text at 87-77-77.
