Serious stabbing on bus near SkyTrain's King George Station

This afternoon, RCMP and Transit Police responded to a stabbing incident near King George Station on SkyTrain’s Expo Line in Surrey.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on a bus that was just outside the station. A fight ensued, with a young male victim incurring stab wounds to the neck and wrist areas. He was sent to hospital in serious but non-life threatening condition.

Another man, the suspect, sustained minor injuries and is in police custody. Police continue to investigate the incident and are looking for witnesses.

The incident had no impact on SkyTrain service.
