A Surrey hit-and-run has left a male senior with critical injuries.

According to Surrey RCMP, the driver of a silver or grey newer four-door sedan, possibly a Honda, struck an 85 year-old Surrey man shortly after 5 p.m. on Monday, April 6. The incident occurred 92nd Avenue and 127th Street when the driver allegedly turned left from 92nd onto 127th.

The man was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital and remains in serious condition.

Police have acquired video of the accident and will release it if the driver does not turn himself in. “At this point in time we are planning on releasing video surveillance of the vehicle, and as a result we do suggest and encourage the driver to turn himself in,” said RCMP Corporal Terry Nishida.

Anyone with information on the hit-and-run is asked to call Surrey RCMP.
