Completed in 1937, the Lions Gate Bridge is one of Vancouver’s most recognizable landmarks.
Today of course a trip over this stunning suspension bridge comes complete with traffic congestion, but it was a very different story back in 1947 as we can see from a new video posted on Youtube by BC History.
The 53 second clip shows a full colour home movie of a trip over Lions Gate complete with a view of the now defunct Toll plaza on the North Shore side.
