Secret Location mingles with global luxury players at new YVR mall

Lost in the announcement of 46 retailers at the highly anticipated McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Vancouver Airport is the distinct lack of local business. B.C.’s own Secret Location will open a new division called simply SL alongside multinational premium, luxury and lifestyle brands at the open-air mall in the summer of 2015. The new YVR location will be smaller in square footage and will offer only retail.

“Our core business and focus will always be our concept store in Gastown,” explains founder Carey Melnichuck. “The YVR location is an opportunity to meet discerning travelers and local shoppers looking for quality crafted men’s and women’s fashion, beauty, home accessories and literature.”

Recently selected to the top 10 list of concept stores by Vogue Paris, the flagship operation in historic Gastown is based on founder Carey Melnichuk’s global experiences and travels.

The uniqueness of Secret Location is that it offers new, thought provoking and limited run pieces that embrace creative ingenuity, quality craftsmanship and bold thinking – a dynamic place of discovery. While offering familiar luxury labels such as Carven, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, it is pieces by Jean Michel Cazabat, Lulu Guiness and Viktor & Rolf that allow Secret Location to maintain its prestige with those looking for even further exclusivity in their luxury purchases.

Secret Location opened in 2012 and is Canada’s first luxury concept store that promises thought-provoking fashion and food. Housed under one roof is a carefully curated retail store and adventurous Tasting Room.

Almost a year ago Secret Location launched their online shop with an exclusive selection of in-store offerings. They launched with over 175 products and the updated mobile-optimized website features each brand with a dedicated page with description, pictures and product video where available.
