Scuba Claus visits the Vancouver Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium has acquired a new mammal for an exciting Christmas display! Scuba Claus will be joining halibut, rockfishes, sturgeon, crabs and sea stars this holiday season to spread festive cheer and remind us of ways to keep our oceans healthy.

Scuba Claus will inhabit the Strait of Georgia exhibit, a large display of marine life found in the waters of British Columbia, daily until December 24.

While the big man himself is an annual favourite for Aquarium-goers, the festivities don’t stop there.

Visitors will also be treated to an electric eel-powered holiday tree and the jelly swarm exhibit, as well as The Polar Express 4D film experience, the Marine-Debris Tree art installation and the Frozen Moments: Images of the Artic photo exhibit.

Outside, kids can explore a maze of trees and enjoy crafts and stories with Scuba Claus’ elves.

The Vancouver Aquarium’s holiday festivities run from November 27 to January 4, 2015.
