So long, Kenny Miller. The Vancouver Whitecaps announced today that the FC and Miller have mutually agreed to terminate his contract.
“We are thankful for the contributions Kenny made both on and off the pitch during his time in Vancouver,” said Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson. “He has been a great role model, a constant professional, and someone who I consider a very good friend. We wish him and his family all the best.”
34-year-old Miller, a native of Edinburgh, Scotland, joined the Whitecaps in June 2012 and made 45 appearances, 13 goals and 3 assists during his time with the club. He will be returning to Glasgow tonight.
“The club wanted to go in a direction. I wanted to go in a different direction, so I think it’s worked out for everybody,” said Miller.
This is the second high profile international player to leave the Vancouver Whitecaps in recent months. In January, Brazilian striker Camilo Sanvezzo canceled his contract to join Mexico’s Liga MX side Queretaro Fútbol Club. The Whitecaps reportedly earned a record multi-million dollar transfer fee.

Kenny Miller was on £12k a week at Vancouver, that would need to be halfed before he becomes a good signing for McCoist #Rangers

Just because Kenny Miller has terminated his contract with Vancouver doesn’t mean he is signing for Rangers.
