Future Shop & Samsung Brings Us Closer to a "Connected World"

2011 is an exciting year for technology: Smart TVs, tablets and smartphones are making headlines and add countless possibilities in our homes. To illustrate the wonders of the “connected world” and home, Future Shop and Samsung teamed-up to deck-out the penthouse floor inside Coal Habour’s The Loden Hotel. After checking out this event, I have a new dream in life, I dream that one day my home will be connected like that penthouse suite. This isn’t a costly dream but it will require me to convince my better half.

It also became clear what the Future Shop reps from the Robson and Granville store told us before about how you can do cool connected things like Skyping from the comfort of your couch in the living room looking at the wide angled webcam mounted on the TV, to using a smartphone control and watch TV while also seeing it on the big screen and tablet, then Tweeting VancityBuzz updates simultaneously.

Imagine watching a Canucks game and having a live twitter feed of #Canucks related tweets right next to the game play. No more looking down at your phone for updates!
