Russell Peters official after party at the Hard Rock

Dec 20 2017, 1:50 am

You’re used to seeing him on stage, but tonight and tomorrow fans of Russell Peters will also get to see what the comedy icon is like in the DJ booth.

The Toronto-born standup star, who is bringing his Almost Famous World Tour to Vancouver for a six-night stint, will be DJing at the Asylum presents the Official Russell Peters After Party on November 4 and 5. The self-proclaimed “hip-hop junkie” will throw down an exclusive one-hour set inside Asylum following both his Wednesday night and Thursday night shows.

Tickets ($40 plus service charges) go on sale on Thursday October 8 at 10 a.m. A limited number of Show and After Party packages are also available ($170 plus service charges).

This won’t be the first time that Peters has performed as a DJ. The comedian first started to work in the booth during the late 1980s as a way of supporting himself during the early days of his comedic rise in Toronto. Since then, he has gone on to perform sets across the globe.
