Rosterbot Inc. to Appear on CBC’s Dragons’ Den

Dec 19 2017, 8:30 pm

RosterBot Inc., a Vancouver-based Team Management service is appearing on the CBC’s hit business pitch television show Dragons’ Den on today, October 22 at 8 p.m.

Co-founders Ian Bell and former Canuck and Olympian Bret Hedican will go in front of a panel of Canadian business magnates who hear countless pitches from aspiring entrepreneurs. This year’s panel seats Jim Treliving, Arlene Dickinson, David Chilton, and new to the judge’s row is Michael Wekerle and Vancouver’s own celebrity chef Vikram Vij.

Bell and Hedican have partnered and produced an app that allows sports teams and other groups to manage and organize their rosters, events, schedules, and payments. Bell is a tech entrepreneur and Hedican currently is a commentator with the San Jose Sharks.

I’m used to a stick, puck, and skates on a slippery surface,” says Rosterbot co-founder Bret Hedican, “but here, the only thing that was slippery were the Dragons’ questions and I think we did a great job at adjusting to the new playing field. I loved the challenge.”

The app is free and the company is hoping to promote living healthier lives through team sport.
