There's an amazing pop-up roller disco happening in Vancouver this weekend
In a throwback to another era, a roller disco is taking place in downtown Vancouver this Saturday.
Hosted by Roller Skate Vancouver, the event takes place at the Robson Square Rink, from 7 pm to 10 pm on Saturday, April 14.
Admission to the event is $10 at the door – cash-only.
Skate rentals will be available for $10 a pair, first come, first-served.
The event is open to anyone, age 16 and older.
The theme of the event is Roller Rink Memories.
According to organizers, “everyone has a different memory of skating at the rink,” and as such, they are inviting all those who attend to represent what a disco roller skate means to them.
This could be anything from “disco glam,” to 80s pop, to rock n’ roll.
All skaters partake in the event at their own risk, and as such are encouraged to “make good choices.”
