Rogers Arena Office & Residential Towers Plans Unveiled

Dec 19 2017, 12:50 pm

Previously we announced the GM Place office tower, now known as the Rogers Arena Office Tower, was under consideration. Now two more towers have been proposed to surround Rogers Arena. However, the office tower has had it’s commercial space cut back and now includes a residential component as well. Although I would rather see just an office building, instead of another mixed use development but with the glut of office developments on the drawing board for Vancouver, the scale back is not really a surprise.

The East tower (104.6 metres) will  also have some office space, which is to be used by the Canucks, the rest will be market condos, as is all of the South tower (102 metres).

A future north tower has been, which if allowed will be rental. Heights are 105m for West tower, 104.6M for East tower, 102M for South Tower, which is clearly the start of the show.

Furthermore the towers are proof that buildings can integrate well with the viaducts and we don’t necessarily need to tear them down.
