Rocky Mountain Soap Company has proudly opened the doors to two new Toxin-Free stores in Bentall Centre and Metropolis in Metrotown. This 100% Canadian owned and operated company is based in the Rockies in Canmore, Alberta.
As part of their Grand Opening, they are hosing a Lip SWAP on Thursday, December 4 and Friday, December 5. Simply bring any used lip product and swap it for a new Toxin-Free and 100% lip butter for free!
Plus, if you join their Toxin-Free Movement, you’ll get additional information on how to live Toxin-Free and be invited to other exclusive events with more free stuff throughout the year.
What makes Rocky Mountain Soap Company truly interesting is their wholesome approach to everything they do. In fact, they are so committed they’ve made this pledge: “We will never use Sulfates, Phthalates, Parabens or any other potentially toxic and unnecessary ingredients. We will never, ever test on animals…only on owners.” Rocky is pushing eco-friendly and natural to a new level in the retail and bath and body industry. Their products have always been 100% Natural and Toxin-Free, and are moving toward non-GMO and organicacross all product lines.
What’s more, they’ve taken this same wholesome approach into the built environment, and the new Vancouver locations are an example of how far Rocky is willing to go. The stores are beautifully designed and decorated using only re-claimed, re-cycled, re-cyclable, re-used, eco-friendly and compostable materials, and no part of these stores will ever end up in a landfill. And they mean it.
From the reclaimed materials used in all fixtures, to natural clay finishes and plant-based sustainable wallpaper, to the cute vintage shower head and recycled glass tiles. Even the light fixtures were repurposed from ingredient containers from their workshop.
In fact, Rocky strictly adheres to a Red List of toxins to avoid that are often found in products and built environments, something they developed to hold themselves and the industry accountable. “We believe that the products you use on your body should be toxin-free, but the same should be true of the store you buy them from,” said Owner Karina Birch. She says the company is not stopping there. “We promise to keep challenging ourselves to look for other ways we can continue to innovate and continue to live up to our Toxin-Free promise.”
