Rize Mount Pleasant Hosts Local Arts Community

Dec 19 2017, 1:09 pm

The Mount Pleasant community is living up to its reputation as an arts and culture mecca as the Kingsway Art Collective at Rize Mount Pleasant showcases a variety of local artistic creations from now (started Sept 14th) until December 20 2011.

Rize is welcoming independent artists and local art organizations throughout Fall 2011, providing them with a venue to both showcase and sell their creations at the Rize Mount Pleasant community space at Broadway and Kingsway. This is one of several community programs happening at Rize Mount Pleasant, including the pop-up retail shop launched in April and the NOMAD Gallery art showcase ending September 13th.

Each month will bring a fresh selection of local art to the space including the art collective of Trifecta Vancouver, photography from the Peter Holmes’ Water Portraits exhibit and The Space in Between by Atta Glanz Production.

“It’s exciting to work with local artists and entrepreneurs, providing them a venue to display their craft,” says Rize VP of Development Chris Vollan. “Vancouver has a vibrant arts community but it’s not always easy for artists to secure downtown space to show off their creations. Rize Mount Pleasant is giving them that much-needed space.”

The Kingsway Art Collective at Rize Mount Pleasant will be open from 11am-4pm, Tuesday-Saturday and will include various events monthly.

Schedule:

Trifecta Art Collective – September 14th – September 20th
Peter Holmes Exhibit – September 21st- October 4th
The Space in Between – October 5th – November 8th
Indigo Exhibit – November 9th – November 22nd
NO MASS – November 25th – November 27th
Dark Matter Exhibit – November 30th – December 20th
