The Riverdale cast is heading back to BC to quarantine before shooting

Archie, Jughead, Veronica, Betty, and even Reggie are coming back to BC.

There’s another season of Riverdale gearing up to start production and it seems like stars or not, the cast will be locking down like everyone else when they return to shoot season 5.

Lili Reinhart — aka Betty — appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week. Besides showing off her new dog, the actress also dished a little bit of info on the new season, including the requirements for when they show up back in Canada.

“We’re about to go back in a couple of days to start, well I have to quarantine for two weeks and then we’re starting season five.”

According to Reinhart, production was cut short when the pandemic hit, and the previous season was still a few days off from finishing. At the time, Warner Bros. TV said they were delaying production out of an “abundance of caution.”

“We’re taking the first few episodes to finish season 4,” Reinhart told Fallon.

All travellers to Canada are required to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival.

This newest season will come with a few twists and turns, if you take Betty’s word for it.

Besides needing to finish where the story left off in the first few episodes, the remained of the season will take a seven-year jump into the future, taking the gang right out of high school and into their 20s.

“It’ll be nice to play an adult,” Reinhart added.

She’s not the only one getting ready for the jump as Riverdale creator and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa took to Instagram to announce that his office was open for business.

“At long last, the offices are open and we are in pre-production on Season 5 of Riverdale,” he put in a caption.
