Launched in 2011, this neighbourhood is Vancouver’s last and largest addition to its waterfront communities. Three times the size of Granville Island, River District Vancouver is located on a magnificent 130-acre site on the edge of the Fraser River, south of Marine Way between Boundary Road and Kerr Street. Since its launch, hundreds of people have already moved into this vibrant neighbourhood.

Currently under construction, the Town Centre will provide the neighbourhood with cafés and shops, and in 2018 it will include a Save-On-Foods, Starbucks, TD Bank, and Westminster Savings, with more to come. When fully developed, River District Vancouver will also be home to other essential amenities including an elementary school and daycares, perfect for growing families.

Enviable location

River District Vancouver is ideally located for getting anywhere in Vancouver and beyond. Only 10 kilometres from downtown, the Vancouver airport, and Metrotown, you’ll be able to enjoy anything the city or the world wants to throw at you. If you don’t have a car, the transit options in River District Vancouver help you stay connected to the outside world. The Canada and Expo skytrain lines are close by, so you can get to the city with ease. Plus, the car-sharing organization Modo has locations in the neighbourhood as well, so you can go anywhere in the Lower Mainland.
