River District Vancouver is pleased to present the third annual Farmers Market – one of the community’s most anticipated events. Located at Kerr Street and E Kent Avenue, the market will be held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The season began May 3 and will run until October 18, 2014.
The market hosts a wide variety of local farmers, bakers and artisans. It offers the freshest selection of items on the weekly grocery list, and also runs children’s crafts and live entertainment. The area includes a waterfront playground and pier, as well as the very popular Romer’s Burger Bar. The River District Farmers Market truly is the perfect outing for the whole family.
The farmers market is only one example of the River District Vancouver’s focus on community, as it endeavours to bring together families, friends and neighbours. People come from across the street and across the river. In 2013, the market averaged approximately 300 visitors every Saturday. It has gained in popularity for its produce and goods, the picturesque setting in which it is situated and the sense of community it cultivates.
River District Vancouver is the newest and largest waterfront community in the Lower Mainland.
