Rival x Brand, a barbershop unlike any other in Vancouver
Victor Cuevas and Jody Lubin are master hairstylists who recently founded Vancouver’s newest premiere hair and barbershop destination, Rival x Brand. With over 35 years of knowledge and experience in the hair industry, they’ve combined their expertise to create a unique New York City loft-inspired salon design house.
Victor and Jody have innovated the hair service experience. Located close to Granville Island, Rival x Brand is so much more than just a salon: it’s a luxury hair service provider in a modern and fun environment. Rival is a one-stop-shop for all haircut, colour, style and product needs.
Victor explains, “My fascination with hair cutting started as a child. My father and grandfather would take me to the barbers and my mom would take me to her hairdresser. I loved both environments but they were so, so different. With Rival x Brand, we are able to bring you the best of both worlds.” Today Victor specializes in all hair textures, cutting techniques, placements and applications. He is also a men’s cutting educator for the prestigious New York hair product line, Bumble and Bumble.
Jody adds, “We love to educate people to help them manage their unique hair challenges. Your hair is a reflection of you. A proper hair cut can transform your look.” Jody’s expertise spans all textures and technical knowledge including men’s and women’s technical cutting, colour placements and applications. He is also a fashion styling and cut educator for the Parisian brand La Biosthetique Canada.
