Rise & Shine: The Jay DeMerit a Vancouver Fundraising Screening will be taking place on July 7th. Whitecaps supporters group The Northsiders, will host a screening event at The Rio Theatre (1660 East Broadway, Vancouver) in a bid to raise funds for the imminent worldwide release of Rise & Shine: The Jay DeMerit story. The film follows Whitecaps captain and U.S. soccer start Jay DeMerit and his remarkable rise to the English Premier League and 2010 World Cup.
Whitecaps FC Captain and US World Cup Starter Jay Demerit is living proof that nice guys don’t always finish last. His story isn’t just for athletes and soccer fans: it’s for anyone who believes in working hard, chasing your dreams, and succeeding against the odds. The Northsiders are hosting a fundraising screening of The Jay DeMerit Story, to help the film’s producers raise money for the licensing and distribution via Kickstarter, the largest funding platform for creative projects in the world.
