On Saturday, June 19, 2010, thousands of dedicated men and women will unite in the Vancouver area to ride over 200 kilometres to Seattle raising funds and awareness for the fight against cancer.

This is the second annual Ride to Conquer Cancer event in Vancouver, a multi-day event for those who are looking to make a heroic commitment to the fight against cancer.

With 44% of Canadian men and 39% of Canadian women developing cancer in their lifetime, participants in The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting BC Cancer Foundation have the opportunity to make a real difference in the fight against cancers right here in B.C.

Think of it as a history-making opportunity for you to do something big about cancer, something epic. Riding through the scenic Pacific Northwest in two days on June 19 and 20, 2010. Sure, it sounds like a lot… and it’s meant to be. The conquest of cancer is a monumental task and won’t be easy. But make no mistake, this event isn’t just for athletes or cycling enthusiasts. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is for anyone who wants to challenge themselves for a great cause – even people who haven’t ridden since they were twelve. All you need is motivation, a bike, and a helmet. The rest is history. Be part of it. [source]
