Richmond's Watermania will reopen for spring break

Richmond’s Watermania is set to reopen to the public for spring break this year.

Located in the Riverport Sports and Entertainment Complex at 14300 Entertainment Boulevard, the facility will reopen on March 15, as part of the city’s official reopening plan.

The centre will be open for fitness and swimming, and registering in advance is mandatory, to help maintain physical distancing and other COVID-19 safety protocols.

Facility features include:

  • Full play structure
  • 57-metre competition pool with movable bulkhead
  • One- and three-metre spring boards, plus a five-metre tower
  • Wave pool with interactive water play features
  • Two waterslides
  • Steam room and sauna
  • Two large whirlpools
  • 3,000-square-foot fitness centre equipped with cardiovascular, strength and toning machines, and free weights
  • Two air-conditioned multipurpose rooms, with a wood sprung floor, available for fitness classes, birthday parties, meetings and room rentals

The facility also provides both universal and accessible change rooms and is fully wheelchair accessible.
