Popular Metro Vancouver pool and water park closing for nearly a month
A popular Metro Vancouver indoor pool and water park is taking a short break this fall.
Watermania Richmond will be closed from Sept. 2 to 26 for its annual maintenance.
That means the pools, change rooms, and showers will be off-limits during this time.
The good news? The fitness centre will stay open as usual.
Watermania, located at 14300 Entertainment Blvd. in the Riverport Sports and Entertainment Complex, is one of Richmond’s favourite family spots.
It features a wave pool with giant tipping buckets, waterslides, a competition pool, whirlpools, and even a steam room and sauna.
The facility has been a community staple for years, often recognized as one of Richmond’s best family attractions.
Once the work wraps up, Watermania will reopen on Saturday, Sept. 27, ready to welcome back swimmers, families, and fitness enthusiasts.
So, if a September swim was on your calendar, you may need to look elsewhere until the doors for this Richmond water park reopen.
After that, it’ll be back to waves, slides, and splashes just in time for fall.
