Dad dies after jumping into foam pit at Richmond leisure centre

RCMP are investigating after a 46-year-old father of two from Victoria died at a leisure facility in Richmond this week.

Just before 8 pm on January 20, police responded to the incident in the 14000 block of Triangle Road.

“He was allegedly performing a series of acrobatic manoeuvres prior to a fall that caused serious injury and cardiac arrest,” said Richmond RCMP in a release.

The man died as a result of the incident.

Now, the incident is being investigated by the RCMP’s General Investigative Section.
