Dec 20 2017, 3:10 am

The City of Richmond is expanding where residents and visitors can connect to free public WiFi, now adding more community centres to their list of hot spots.

The popular service has already been available in a number of facilities, including City Hall, City Centre Community Centre, Steveston Community Centre, Richmond Olympic Oval and the Richmond Public Library, and will now be turned on in five other community centres, with even more to come in 2016.

Free public WiFi is now available at:

  • South Arm Community Centre
  • Sea Island Community Centre
  • Steveston Outdoor Pool
  • Thompson Community Centre
  • West Richmond Community Centre

The development of public WiFi hot spots across Richmond is part of their digital strategy launched in September 2015. Other kinds of locations on the list for free internet includes some heritage sites and select parks.
