Steveston Scarecrow Crawl
What: Throughout the month of October, Steveston Village in Richmond is being taken over by scarecrows for the annual Steveston Scarecrow Crawl. Dozens of scarecrows are the first point of contact outside many of the village’s merchants, and the best scarecrow will win a $1000 prize based on Richmond celebrity judges voting. Perfect for autumn selfies.

Ice Cube
What: The ledgendary Ice Cube is stopping in Vancouver for two epic shows. He started his career with NWA two decades ago where he wrote most of the lyrics to Straight Outta Compton and his debut solo album AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted sold more than a million copies. He has sold over 10 million solo albums to date. In 2016, the rapper was inducted into the Rock & Rock Hall of Fame as part of NWA and a year later, he was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Cannery Farmers’ Market
What: The Cannery Farmers’ Market is Steveston’s indoor winter market, held at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site. This unique market features local food and artisan merchants, as well as live entertainment, inside a historic cannery setting. Admission to the museum is free on market days.

Cranberry Sale
What: Purchase fresh cranberries at Richmond Nature Park Society’s annual cranberry sale. Proceeds support the park’s educational and public programs.

The Coquettish Diva
What: The Coquettish Diva narrates the life of renowned Cantonese Opera Actress, Hong Xian Nu, and celebrates her tireless pursuit of the arts. The play stars Su Chun Mei, the desciple of Hong Xian Nu and the lead actress of the Guangzhou Hong Dou Cantonese Opera Troupe and Shenzhen Cantonese Opera Troupe.

Halloween Fireworks at McLean Park
