With just days to go before the big event, TEDxVancouver has announced this year’s host will be Riaz Meghji. Meghji will guide attendees through the biggest TEDxVancouver event to date, which features a great lineup of speakers.

With over 12 years of experience in the television industry, Meghji has conducted interviews with subjects from all walks of life. He’s come to appreciate how a simple, candid conversation can carry a profound effect.

TED Riaz Meghji

Meghji has been a host on City’s Breakfast Television Vancouver for the past six years covering topics in current affairs, philanthropy, entertainment, sports and business. He presented a TED Talk at TEDxSFU and later hosted TEDxVancouver in 2012. It was his TEDxVancouver experience that inspired the recent launch of EveryConversationCounts.com, which documents memorable conversations that some of the world’s most fascinating people have engaged in to achieve success and, more importantly, their true sense of purpose.

Raised in Delta, Meghji graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from SFU and has always had a love of inspiring and engaging audiences. Additionally, world travel is a passion as he has spent time in over 15 countries, all while staying active with cycling and circuit training.

You can catch Riaz every weekday on Breakfast Television Vancouver.

TEDxVancouver will be held on Saturday, October 18 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Tickets are still available, but are very limited – get them now at www.tedxvancouver.com.
