A renegade dance party took over Robson Square this afternoon and went on well into the evening.
Early Sunday afternoon, a DJ booth was set up on Robson Street near Hornby Street – just next to the Urban Reef installation. What happened over the hours that followed was far more interesting than the lacklustre Urban Reef installation.
These types of organic and impromptu events are just what Vancouver needs, not over-sanitized generic events.
This dance party had 50 or so strangers dancing and vibing to the sound of rap, house and even a little dubstep.
