Go North to Naramata Bench Road; the lake will be on your left and look for the large statue of a naked guy. True story. Welcome to Red Rooster!

While in Penticton you could check out both lakes, Okanagan and Skaha. Did you know that Skaha Bluffs is the second most popular rock-climbing site in BC after Squamish? Skaha Bluffs is great for both beginners and experienced rock climbers. You could also bring your bike and cycle around the Okanagan River Channel, which connects Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. There’s also the Kettle Valley Railway Trail. Take a ride on the section from Chute Lake (it’s downhill) to see stunning views of all of the Naramata Bench wineries, including Red Rooster Winery.

After rock climbing and cycling all day, no doubt you will love to open up and share a bottle of award winning Red Rooster 2010 Pinot Gris. It won Best in Class, 93 Points at the 2011 Los Angeles International Wine and Spirit Competition, Gold at the 2011 San Francisco International Wine Competition and Gold at the 2011 All Canadian Wine Championships.

“I love what I do and a big part of it is sharing Red Rooster wines with guests,” said Karen Gillis, Winemaker, Red Rooster Winery. “It’s fantastic to get feedback from wine tour visitors and guests of our new tasting room, The Coop. All of our wines are fruit forward, which brings out the very best features of the Okanagan. We have a lot of fun here at the winery and I hope our guests leave with a smile on their face after a great weekend getaway.”

Red Rooster Winery and The Coop are open for wine tours throughout the spring and summer.
