The first ever Canadian Red Bull SlopeSoakers event – fusing slopestyle and pondskim elements of skiing and snowboarding – will be held at Grouse Mountain on April 2.
Registration is open to anyone over 16 who wants to “test the waters” – although skills are required to avoid getting completely soaked.
Prizing categories will include:
- Ski Men 1st Place
- Ski Women 1st Place
- Snowboard Men 1st Place
- Snowboard Women 1st Place
- Oakley’s Best Costume
- Best Trick Ski
- Best Trick Snowboard
- Best Crash
The contest will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., spectators’ tickets are free and an on-slope BBQ and a beer garden will also be available for everyone to enjoy.
