The Delta Police Department is conducting a voyeurism investigation after a suspected recording device was found in the washroom of a local business.

The department is investigating a report about the device being used in a staff washroom in the Tilbury area of Delta. Investigators are working with the business to secure further evidence and to identify potential victims, “and ensure there is no ongoing risk.”

Police arrested an employee on July 7, 2026. The suspect was later released on conditions “pending further investigation.”

“At this stage, investigators believe the incident was isolated to this workplace, and there is no information to suggest a broader risk to the public.

Delta Police said that investigations like this are “highly sensitive” and involve “significant privacy considerations.”

Delta Police have not named the business or its address.

“To protect the integrity of the investigation and the privacy of those potentially affected, no further details are being released at this time,” Delta police said.

The department also has some advice for the public, as recording devices become “increasingly small and accessible.”

“Delta Police encourage people to remain alert in locations where privacy is expected. Any
suspicious device or activity should be reported to police immediately,” it said.
