10 stores in Vancouver with sales for international Record Store Day

Every spring around this time, vinyl heads across Metro Vancouver rouse from their winter hibernations for Record Store Day. Since its inception in 2007, independent record stores around the world have been participating in Record Store Day to collectively support the industry.

This is a day for the people who make up the world of the record store—the staff, the customers, and the artists—to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role these independently owned stores play in their communities. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made by artists around the world exclusively for the day.

This year, Vancouver will have 10 stores participating in the festivities on Saturday, April 18. Check out our round-up with what they have planned for Record Store Day 2015.

Audiopile
