Nightbound, a real-time nightclub app, announces today it will be adding 9 more Vancouver nightclubs and bars to its existing list of 10 venues. The new list includes popular clubs like Celebrities, Five Sixty, and Fortune. It’s also expanding the real-time service to be accessible on weekdays and weekends instead of just Fridays and Saturdays.
Nightbound helps partygoers by taking the guesswork out of going out. Using the app, users can easily check real-time data of their favorite nightclubs and bars, such as queuing times, gender ratio, and venue capacity level. This allows users to tailor their preferences and plan their night more successfully.
“What Nightbound does best is allowing a user to plan ahead and arrive at the perfect time- whether it’s a decreased waiting time they want or at a certain venue capacity. Overall, Nightbound users are arriving at more preferred times with grounded expectation of the nightclub and as a result, becoming happier customers,” Matt said.
Nightbound has also been instrumental in helping its users discover new venues. Nightbound has run a few complimentary drinks and cover deals with a local nightclub Ginger 62. Matt say’s they’ve gotten numerous users visiting the venue for the first time and discovering that the primarily House Music club is especially popular.
Since its iOS release on February 1 and Android release on March 15, Nightbound has more than 4,000 downloads in Vancouver. The app has been used more than 22,000 times in helping users plan their night. On average, Nightbound is used more than 800 times a night on weekends.
Most of Nightbound’s users are checking the app before they go out, making it advantageous for club promoters to push relevant events and deals to its target audience. Venues dedicate most of their marketing resources through Facebook promotion but its effectiveness has been on a fast decline. Matt says Nightbound’s next plan is to allow users to instantly obtain guest list placements, pay tickets for shows, and redeem deals and discounts directly via the app. It’s already in talks with a few local promotion companies and plans to roll out the new features this summer.
