Update: RCMP says situation "all clear" after gunshots reported near Halifax

The RCMP in Nova Scotia says the situation is “all clear,” after earlier reports of gunshots in two Halifax-area regions.
At just after 3 pm ET on Friday, the RCMP issued an emergency alert after initial gunfire reports. Residents were being asked to stay inside and lock their doors as a precaution.
Police said they were on scene in a wooded area between Haliburton Hills and Highland Park Heights in “relation to a report of shots fired.” An additional report of shots fired in the Omega Court area of Hubley was also issued.

At just after 4:40 pm ET, the RCMP confirmed the areas of Haliburton Heights, Hubley, Tantallon, and Hammonds Plains had been “extensively” searched and found no evidence of shots fired.
